That Rusted Lock – My Fate

lock

Amongst the crowd,
Delimited by hasty beings,
I stand in my emptiness.
My eyes seek those mislaid hours,
Of the bliss once thrived.

Lost in an endless search,
Bitter truths welcome my sight.
I grasp the reason for;
My failure,
My despair
And dismay.

There was it,
this rusted Lock.
Like my corroded wishes,
weakened tries,
and lifeless courage.
Sure it is
I never tried!
So unrewarded.
As this lock
to my triumph
never got a key.
